Aeon’s End: Legacy is set in a dark, post‑apocalyptic world where humanity’s last refuge — the city of Gravehold — is threatened by terrifying beings known as The Nameless. Players take on the roles of apprentice mages (breach mages) who discover their powers throughout the campaign, train under the legendary mentor Brama, and gradually grow into true protectors of Gravehold.

The game offers a narrative, immersive experience in which the story unfolds chapter by chapter, while players make permanent decisions that influence character development and the overall course of the campaign.

The game uses a deck‑building system characteristic of the Aeon’s End series.
Players cooperate and fight together against a chosen Nemesis, who represents the main threat. If the city of Gravehold falls, everyone loses.

The campaign is divided into several chapters through which you:

• develop your character,
• add new abilities,
• place stickers on player boards,
• permanently change elements of the game.

One of the trademark features of the series is that you never shuffle your deck — the order in which cards are played affects the flow of the game and enables strategic planning.
The turn order of both players and the enemy is determined by a special Turn Order Deck, which creates a sense of chaos and unpredictability.

Players:

• purchase gems, relics, and spells,
• open and prepare “breaches” (magical portals),
• manage the health of their character and the city.
