You are placed in the year 1278, at the beginning of the construction of the Alhambra — one of the greatest architectural achievements of the Spanish Middle Ages. As the chief architect, you will hire master builders from around the world and ensure they are paid on time in their native currencies, all to create the most beautiful palace filled with gardens, pavilions, towers, and arcades.

Alhambra is a tile‑placement and resource‑management game. Players collect money in four different currencies, which they use to hire builders and purchase building tiles from the market. Paying the exact amount grants additional actions, encouraging efficient planning. You place the tiles into your Alhambra, carefully considering the connection of outer walls and the diversity of buildings. Scoring takes place in three phases, based on the number and types of buildings as well as the length of the outer wall.
