Awkward Guests 2: The Berwick Cases is a tense detective board game for two players (or two teams), built on deduction and psychological dueling. It’s a follow-up to the hit Awkward Guests, but introduces a new, more intimate and competitive dynamic.
The story revolves around the mysterious murder of one of the Berwick twins. Each player takes on one of two roles:
- The Investigator, who must uncover who killed one of the sisters.
- The Mastermind, who must conceal their involvement while planning the murder of the other sister.
The action takes place in the luxurious Berwick family mansion, where players investigate the crime scene, interrogate suspects, and analyze evidence.
Players gather information from various sources (suspects, staff, police reports, and the crime scene). Each player has different objectives and access to different information. It is a direct head-to-head competition, where each player tries to outpace the other in uncovering—or concealing—the truth. The game includes case sheets that help track clues and deductions.
