In the game, you take on the role of a city planner helping Barcelona expand beyond its old boundaries. The action selection is based on placing citizen tokens at intersections within the city grid. Each placement triggers two actions depending on the location. The tram system allows you to move a tram through the city, activating additional bonuses and scoring points when passengers stop on your streets. Building construction is central to scoring, with players developing structures at intersections using citizen tokens as part of the cost. Three intermediate scoring phases and a final scoring round support strategic planning and tactical adaptation.
