Boop the Halls! is a festive version of the popular game Boop, introducing a fresh theme and new mechanics. In this edition, cats climb a Christmas tree and try to knock ornaments off it. The game board is designed as a multi-level Christmas tree, adding a three-dimensional element and new strategic challenges.
Players take turns placing kittens on the tree. Whenever a kitten is placed, it “boops” (pushes) adjacent pieces one space away—either on the same level or downward along the tree. When a player successfully places three of their kittens in a row, they remove them and replace them with full-grown cats. Each player has three ornaments, which they place on the tree. The goal is to knock the opponent’s ornaments off the tree; if a player removes all three, they win.
A player wins if they:
- place three of their adult cats in a row,
- have all eight of their cats on the tree at the same time, or
- knock all three of the opponent’s ornaments off the tree.
Boop the Halls! combines a charming holiday theme with a challenging strategic experience. The three-dimensional Christmas tree board adds visual appeal and gameplay depth, while the addition of ornaments as a new win condition brings fresh strategic possibilities. The game is designed for two players, plays in about 20–30 minutes, and is suitable for ages 10 and up.
