Clans of Caledonia is a strategic economic board game set in 19th-century Scotland during the Industrial Revolution. Players take on the roles of historical Scottish clans striving to develop their regions, increase wealth, and take advantage of new trading opportunities.
During this period, Scotland is transforming from a predominantly agricultural society into an industrial one, with a focus on food production, sheep farming, and especially whisky production, which becomes a key export commodity.
The game captures the feeling of economic development very well: you produce raw materials (milk, grain, wool), process them into goods (cheese, bread, whisky), and then sell or export them.

Players produce both basic and processed goods while managing an efficient economy. Prices of goods change dynamically based on supply and demand—buying increases the price, while selling lowers it.
