Corps of Discovery is a thematic cooperative board game set in an alternate version of the famous Lewis and Clark expedition. Instead of simply exploring the American frontier, the expedition must confront strange monsters, mysterious creatures, and supernatural dangers inspired by the comic book series Manifest Destiny. Players take on the roles of expedition members, working together to explore the unknown wilderness, forge alliances, and fight for survival.

The locations of resources and important elements on the map are not immediately known, so players must use clues and logical reasoning to determine where the resources they need can be found.
