Arcana Unleashed is a comprehensive expansion for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, focused on high magic, mysterious arcane factions, powerful artifacts, and advanced options for both players and Dungeon Masters. The book transports players into a world where magic is the driving force behind society, politics, and adventure.
At the heart of the book are powerful magical organizations, ancient secrets, and conflicts between influential arcane factions. Players can join various arcane societies, uncover lost knowledge, and gain access to rare magical powers and artifacts. A strong emphasis is placed on the identity of spellcasters and other magic users, as well as their impact on the world around them.
Arcana Unleashed introduces numerous new character-building options. The book includes 8 new or revised subclasses, such as the Arcana Domain Cleric, Arcane Archer Fighter, Warrior of the Mystic Arts Monk, and Vestige Patron Warlock, along with several new wizard specializations. It also adds more than 20 feats, 10 faction-based backgrounds, and over 30 new or revised spells.
For Dungeon Masters, the book provides a system of arcane factions, group patrons, new monsters, and an extensive collection of magical items. One of its standout features is its evolving magic items, which grow in power alongside the heroes and develop throughout the campaign.
