High Tide is a modern abstract board game for two players that combines a relaxing seaside theme with highly tactical gameplay.
The game is set in a world of ocean tides—tiles represent the seabed being “covered by the rising tide.” Players symbolically compete for influence in this environment, where waves cover elements and reshape the terrain.
High Tide is primarily a strategic abstract game focused on moving and stacking tiles:
- it is played without a traditional board—using about 19 hexagonal tiles
- players take turns:
- moving their own or neutral tiles
- stacking them on top of each other (stacking), always onto a higher position
Main objective:
- cover your opponent’s tiles
- have the most of your tiles visible on top at the end of the round
A round ends when no more moves are possible, and the winner is the player who wins the majority of rounds (usually 3).
