Horrified: Greek Monsters is a standalone cooperative game set on the mythical island of Elysium, where terrifying creatures from Greek mythology have escaped from Pandora’s Box. Players, sent by the Greek gods, must join forces as heroes to defeat these monsters before the terror level reaches its peak and the island falls into ruin.
Among the monsters players must overcome are Cerberus, Medusa, the Minotaur, the Siren, the Basilisk, and the Chimera. In addition, legendary figures such as Jason and King Midas appear on the island and must be protected from the monsters’ attacks.
Players work together to save the island from these mythological threats. Each round is divided into a hero phase (movement, collecting items, rescuing legends) and a monster phase (activating monsters via cards). Some monsters have hidden lairs that must be discovered and revealed, increasing the game’s replayability. Players choose 2–4 monsters per game, which affects both difficulty and pacing.
Dice rolls, random items, and monster activations can strongly influence the flow of the game, creating tense and unpredictable moments.
