Jungo belongs to the “shedding / ladder-climbing” card game genre—the goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
Players hold their cards in a fixed order that cannot be rearranged. On your turn, you play one or more cards of the same value, but only if they are adjacent in your hand. The next player must play a stronger combination (a higher value or a larger set of cards) or draw a card and pass.
A special twist is introduced by the so-called “Jungo rule”, which allows a newly drawn card to be used immediately to defeat the combination on the table. When you beat a combination, you decide whether to add the defeated cards to your hand (to set up better future combinations) or discard them to move closer to victory more quickly.
