Kinfire Council is a strategic board game that blends politics, city-building, and fantasy themes in the world of Atios. Players become members of the council of Din'Lux, the last bastion of civilization, threatened by the mysterious forces of the Starless Nights and the sinister Cult of Altana.
The city of Din'Lux is surrounded by a magical storm held back by beacons powered by sacred fire – kinfire. As council members, players compete for influence while also cooperating to defend the city from cultists who seek to destroy the beacons and unleash darkness. Behind the scenes, a political drama unfolds, and each player must decide whether to lead with wisdom or cunning.
Players send their workers to gather resources, upgrade buildings, and construct beacons. Each round brings new political decisions that shape the course of the game. Every player has a personal agenda that guides their strategy. The Cult of Altana advances throughout the game – if not stopped, it can win regardless of players’ points. Players may cooperate, but also sabotage one another, creating a tense and dynamic atmosphere.
