LYNGK is an abstract strategy game for 2 players that represents a synthesis of the entire GIPF Project.
Visually, it is the most colorful and “lively” game in the whole series, and the gameplay experience is often described as building networks and maintaining balance between colors.
The game uses piece stacking: you move pieces and towers across the grid, where smaller towers may be placed on larger ones, but not the other way around.
At the beginning, no color belongs to any player; during the game, each player strategically chooses exactly two colors that become theirs and grant additional tactical options.
The goal is to create towers made of five differently colored pieces, with the crucial factor being the color on the top of the tower, as it determines which player owns that tower.
A special feature of the game is the presence of neutral (joker) pieces, which can represent any color and enable surprising combinations and dramatic turnarounds.
The game rewards long-term planning, timely color selection, and the ability to read your opponent’s intentions. ♟️
LYNGK is an elegant and deep strategic game where victory belongs to those who can create perfect balance out of a chaos of colors.
