MANTIS FALLS is an exceptionally tense and thematically rich board game for 2–3 players that combines hidden roles, card management, and psychological suspense in the style of a 1940s noir crime story. It is designed as a “trust game,” where you never truly know whether your fellow player is genuinely your ally… or waiting for the first chance to betray you.

The story is set in the dark, mafia-infused town of Mantis Falls. Players are witnesses to a crime trying to escape the city before they are silenced. But here’s the twist: maybe everyone really is a witness… or perhaps one of them is a killer pretending to be an ally. Everything unfolds in classic noir fashion—foggy streets, mysterious alliances, and the constant feeling that someone is watching you.

Each player can be either a witness or a killer—but no one knows who is who. Players use action cards of different suits, enabling combinations and special effects. Each round triggers an event—sometimes visible, sometimes hidden—that a player must resolve. With hidden events, players can lie about what happened, opening the door to manipulation. The goal is to reach the end of the road without dying—whether from enemies, events, or betrayal. Players must cooperate, yet constantly question each other’s sincerity. The game demands reading your opponent, bluffing, and psychological play.

Few games work so well with just two players. Mantis Falls is ideal for couples or close friends who enjoy intense interaction.

Mantis Falls plays out like a gripping psychological drama, where every glance, every decision, and every card can turn into a moment of betrayal or redemption. If you’re looking for a game that blends thematic depth, strategic thinking, and emotional tension, this is the right choice.
