Players take on the roles of iconic superheroes and work together to battle villains threatening the world.
The game is set in the Marvel universe, where players can choose from over 20 heroes such as Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and many others. Each hero has unique abilities and is linked to one of six “aspects,” which further shape their playstyle. The objective is to stop global threats caused by four different villains, including Thanos and Ultron.
The game is played in two phases:
Hero Phase: Players take turns performing actions such as moving across the map, fighting enemies, completing missions, or resting. Each player has a set of action tokens, including a “boosted” token that allows for more powerful moves.
Nemesis Phase: The threat level increases, the villain takes actions, enemies activate, and challenging events occur through “Threat” cards.
Combat and missions are resolved by rolling special 8-sided dice, where success is based on symbols that match the hero’s abilities (strength, tactics, resilience).
