Memoir '44 is a historical strategy board game that places players in the role of commanders during key battles of World War II. Designed as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, the game offers a compelling blend of historical theme, tactical depth, and accessible mechanics.

Players take on the roles of Allied or Axis commanders and face off in historically inspired scenarios such as the Omaha Beach landing, the Battle of Carentan, or Operation Cobra. The modular game board is divided into hexagonal spaces representing terrain types like forests, hills, rivers, and towns. Units include infantry, tanks, and artillery – each with its own strengths and limitations. Battles are resolved by rolling special dice that indicate hits, misses, or special effects. Each scenario has its own victory conditions – such as capturing key positions or eliminating a certain number of enemy units.
