The game is set in the future, where Mars is filled with valuable resources such as celerium, sylvanite, and ice used for terraforming the planet. Players send astronauts aboard rockets to different regions of Mars to gain control of the richest areas and secure the greatest profits.
Each round, you secretly choose one of nine character cards that determines your special action and the order in which you act. Victory comes from gaining and maintaining influence across the regions of Mars. Predicting the actions of other players is crucial, as you can disrupt their plans through clever character choices and timely actions. Some characters speed up travel, others move astronauts around the planet, and some can even sabotage rockets before they launch. Additional cards provide multiple paths to victory and add greater tactical depth to the game.
