Munchkin Booty is a standalone card game from the Munchkin series that takes players into a world of pirates, treasure, ships, and high-seas adventures. Instead of exploring dungeons and fighting dragons, you'll sail across the seven seas, plunder treasure, battle strange sea monsters, and cause plenty of trouble for your rivals.
The game is built around a pirate theme, but presents it with Munchkin’s trademark humor. Players can become Pirates, Naval Officers, or Merchants, use ships, cutlasses, and other equipment, and face unusual opponents such as the Lobster Mobster, Viking Kittens, Prince of Whales, and various sharks.
The core mechanics remain very similar to classic Munchkin:
- Open doors (draw cards) and encounter monsters, curses, or other events.
- Defeat monsters using a combination of your level, equipment, classes, and special abilities.
- Earn treasure and gain new levels through victory.
- Other players can help you or deliberately make battles more difficult with additional cards and monsters.
- The first player to reach Level 10 wins the game.
