In Munchkin Zombies Deluxe, players aren’t heroes—they’re zombies! Instead of fighting monsters, they attack living humans—from police officers and scientists to random passersby. The game pokes fun at classic zombie clichés and turns them upside down: zombies hunt for brains, wear random objects as armor (like mousetraps on their feet or a bowling trophy on their head), and stumble through a world full of absurd situations.
Players begin at Level 1 and try to reach Level 10, just like in all Munchkin games. Instead of classes and races, zombies have mojo and special powers that unlock at certain levels. On each turn, players draw a Door card, which may trigger a fight with humans (or other zombies), cause a curse, or provide useful items. Combat is resolved by comparing combat strength—level + equipment + powers versus the enemy. Players can also interfere with each other by sending extra enemies or curses their opponents’ way.
The game is packed with parody, silliness, and dark humor. The classic Munchkin formula is easy to learn and quick to set up.
