Orichalcum is a dynamic strategic board game that combines elements of Greek mythology, exploration, and building in a tense competitive setting. It’s often described as a “mini 4X” game—explore, expand, exploit, exterminate—but in an accessible, family‑friendly form.

Players take on the role of leaders trying to colonize mysterious islands rich in orichalcum—the legendary metal of Atlantis. During the game, they:

• build temples,
• tame mythological creatures,
• summon Titans,
• and exploit orichalcum mines.

All of this takes place in a world filled with Greek mythology, volcanoes, and battles for dominance.

Players place tiles on their personal island to create terrain combinations. Each round, they choose an action card that determines their move and provides a new tile. The goal is to be the first to collect 5 victory points—earned through temples, Titans, and other achievements. Hoplites (soldiers) fight creatures guarding volcanic regions, and special buildings provide bonus abilities and extra scoring opportunities.

The game features four main actions:

• Orichalcum production – gathering metal from the mines.
• Recruiting hoplites – more soldiers mean better odds in combat.
• Capturing creatures – using dice rolls and strategic planning.
• Construction – placing buildings on matching terrain types.
