Planet Unknown: Supermoon is an expansion for the board game Planet Unknown.
Expand your development onto the Supermoon in case meteorite hazards get out of control. Planet Unknown is a polyomino tile-laying game that combines tile placement, engine building, simultaneous play, and resource and rover management to create a unique and competitive gameplay experience. Supermoon is the first expansion.
SUPERMOON SUPER PUZZLE – A new decision point is introduced: you can place a tile on your moon or on your planet. The moon is equipped with a 3D satellite that helps clear meteorites in a unique way. You can also choose to deploy a rover on the moon. Tile selection, placement, and meteorite removal are key to mastering this new challenge.
EXTENDED GAMEPLAY – The main effect of the Supermoon expansion is that games last about 5 additional simultaneous turns, extending playtime from around 65 minutes to approximately 80 minutes. This extension allows new strategies to emerge and encourages players to rethink their usual approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
SALVAGE TILES – Each player has access to a supply of salvage tiles. Each tile is a split polyomino recovered from recent meteor showers and always contains one resource and one meteorite. Instead of drafting from the S.U.S.A.N. system, you may place any two of your salvage tiles—either together or separately.
NEW PLANET AND CORPORATION – After the recent meteor shower, a new corporation has emerged from the wreckage. Combine the new planet and corporation with existing content to create even more asymmetric combinations in Planet Unknown.
