PYLOS is an abstract strategy game focused on building a pyramid with marbles.
- It is played by two players, each with 15 marbles of their own color (white or black).
- Players take turns placing marbles on a 4×4 game board.
- When four marbles form a 2×2 square, a player may place a new marble on top of them, beginning the construction of higher levels of the pyramid.
- If a player completes a square using four marbles of their own color, they may remove one or two of their marbles from the board (provided they are not supporting other marbles), giving them more options for future moves.
- The winner is the player who places the final marble at the top of the pyramid.
