Rise board game is a strategy game in which you take on the role of a mayor responsible for the economic and social development of a city. Your task is to balance industrial progress while maintaining the happiness and satisfaction of your citizens, all while managing challenges such as environmental pollution and rising taxes.
The game focuses on urban development and the challenges faced by city leaders in building and maintaining a successful city. In addition to economic growth, you must also care for the well-being of your population, which includes providing sufficient resources, reducing pollution, and keeping citizens satisfied.
Players progress along different development “tracks” that represent various areas of the city. Each round, they choose between action cards that allow for basic or upgraded actions (at a higher cost). Moving along one track often triggers progress on other tracks, enabling interesting combinations and strategic planning. Event cards introduce additional effects and require players to adapt their strategy from round to round. After 12 rounds, the player with the most influence points wins.
