Lilypad Diaspora
Once scattered and long oppressed, the Lilypad Diaspora now hopes to make the Woodland their home. While striving to integrate peacefully, peace is a rare commodity amid civil war. As they train their warriors, they must ensure that their desire for safety does not evolve into outright aggression. Even a simple misunderstanding between the Diaspora and the Woodland’s inhabitants can spark fierce reprisals, harden their militancy, and spread resentment against their cause.
Twilight Council
Weary of endless conflict, the Twilight Council hosts assemblies aimed at ending the war. These gatherings bring together all of the Woodland’s inhabitants, from the humblest mouse to the mightiest hawk with a royal claim. The assemblies emphasize political influence over military strength, steering factions away from bloody battles and toward heated debate. As the Council advances its mission, it can issue edicts that alter how the assemblies function, influencing the incentives and actions of its opponents.
Knaves of the Deepwood
No one truly knows how the Knaves of the Deepwood came together, but legends abound. These rogues and troublemakers emerge from the forest depths to raid barracks and supply caravans, carrying off warriors as hostages. Why? For ransom, of course. Some say they share their profits with those in need, while others claim they spend their wealth on lavish celebrations. Either way, their revelries echo through the night, with music rising from the deepest parts of the forest, where few dare to venture.
