Sagrada is a visually stunning abstract board game in which players take on the role of master stained-glass artists competing to create the most beautiful colorful window. The game is inspired by the famous Sagrada Familia basilica in Barcelona, renowned for its magnificent stained glass. Each player creates their own work of art using colored dice that represent glass pieces.
Each player receives a window frame board and a randomly selected pattern that sets the placement restrictions for the dice. In each round, dice of various colors and values (from 1 to 6) are drafted from a common pool and then placed onto the player’s board. Dice of the same color or value may not be placed directly adjacent to one another, which requires careful planning. Players can use special tools that allow them to break certain rules—but at the cost of tokens, whose price increases with use. Each player also has a secret objective (such as collecting a specific color), and there are public objectives that reward particular patterns or combinations. At the end of the game, points are tallied based on completed objectives, correctly placed dice, and tool usage.
