Sanctuary takes you into the world of modern zoos, where your goal is to build and manage a scientifically run animal sanctuary. Players plan the placement of animals, buildings, and projects to create the most attractive and sustainable zoo.

Sanctuary is a strategic game for 1–5 players (40–100 minutes) based on action management and tile placement. Each player has four action cards, whose strength depends on their position on the action track. Three action types allow you to place animals according to their habitat (forest, rocks, water), while the fourth focuses on projects (e.g., partnerships, specialists). There are 135 unique tiles (animals, buildings, projects) that provide different effects and scoring conditions. Tile placement requires careful planning, as conditions include adjacent habitats, rivers, or open areas. The game ends when someone completes four conservation goals, fills their map, or runs out of tiles; the player with the most points wins.

Sanctuary is based on the popular game Ark Nova, but it’s streamlined and faster while retaining the sense of strategic challenge and puzzle-like planning.
