Similo: Animals is a charming and clever cooperative deduction game that takes players into a world of animal similarities and differences. It’s designed for 2 or more players, ages 7 and up, and each game lasts around 10 minutes – perfect for families, friends, or as a relaxing filler between heavier games.
In this version, everything revolves around animals – from domestic to wild, birds to mammals. Each card features a beautifully illustrated animal by artist Xavier “Naïade” Durin. The animals are chosen to be recognizable and universal, making the game accessible even to younger players.
One player becomes the Clue Giver and secretly selects one animal as the secret card. This card is shuffled with eleven others and laid out in a 4x3 grid. The Clue Giver holds 5 cards and uses them to give visual clues:
- A vertically placed card means it has something in common with the secret animal.
- A horizontally placed card means it is different from the secret animal.
Players then eliminate cards from the grid based on the clues – more cards each round. If the secret card remains as the last one, everyone wins. If it’s eliminated, everyone loses.
