Similo: Fables is a delightful cooperative deduction game that takes players into the world of fairy tale characters – from Little Red Riding Hood to Pinocchio and Puss in Boots. It’s designed for 2–8 players, ages 7 and up, and each game lasts around 10 minutes – perfect for families, friends, or as a relaxing filler between longer games.
In this version of Similo, everything revolves around fairy tale heroes. Each card features a well-known character from classic stories, illustrated with beautiful artwork by Xavier “Naïade” Durin. The cards are large, colorful, and include a short description to help players understand the character.
One player becomes the Clue Giver and secretly selects a secret fairy tale character from 12 cards arranged in a 4x3 grid. Then, they give clues using other cards from their hand:
- A vertically placed card means it has something in common with the secret character.
- A horizontally placed card means it is different from the secret character.
The other players then eliminate cards from the grid based on the clues – more cards each round. If the secret character remains as the last one, everyone wins. If it’s eliminated, everyone loses.
