Small World is a colorful and dynamic area‑control strategy game for 2–5 players, lasting about 40–80 minutes. It’s set in a whimsical fantasy world where various races battle for dominance on a map that’s simply too small — making conflict inevitable.
In Small World, players command fantasy races — from Flying Dwarves to Berserk Halflings — each with its own unique special ability. The world is too small for everyone, so races must expand, conquer territories, and eventually decline at the right moment to make room for a new combination of race and special power.
Players choose a randomly generated combination of a race and a special ability. Using race tokens, they take control of regions on the board. The number of tokens needed depends on the terrain, defenses, and special effects. When a race becomes overstretched, the player places it in decline and selects a new combination to continue conquering. At the end of each turn, players earn coins based on the number of regions they control and any bonus abilities. Direct attacks between players create tense decisions and tactical maneuvering.
