Star Wars: Battle of Hoth is a tactical miniatures board game that takes players straight into one of the most iconic battles from The Empire Strikes Back—the clash between the Empire and the Rebels on the icy planet Hoth.

The game recreates the epic scene of the Imperial forces attacking the Rebel base on Hoth. Players choose to fight for the Empire (with AT-AT walkers, stormtroopers, and Darth Vader) or for the Rebels (with Snowspeeders, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo). Each side has its own set of units, leaders, and tactical cards that reflect their characteristics from the movie.

The game uses the proven Commands & Colors system, well-known from titles like Memoir ’44 and BattleLore.

Each player has a deck of command cards that determine which units they can activate, how they move, and how they attack. Combat is resolved by rolling dice, with different units and leaders adding special effects. The box includes 17 different scenarios, including two multi-part campaigns where victories and defeats influence future battles. Choosing a leader (such as Luke or Vader) adds special cards to your deck, allowing you to customize your playstyle. 🛸
