As a direct expansion to Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game, this box further intensifies the conflict between the Rebels and the Empire with new units, capital ships, and bases joining the battle.
A new feature introduced in this expansion is mission cards, which allow players to add new reinforcement cards to their decks during the game, along with new game modes that refresh and transform the gameplay experience. The expansion also includes 10 new bases and 10 upgraded starter cards for each faction.
Among the new game modes is a campaign mode that transforms Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game from a fast, standalone skirmish into a series of five connected games, where the results of each match carry over to the next. The winner of the campaign is the player who manages to destroy 5 enemy bases in the fifth game.
