Sushi Go! is a fast and fun card-drafting board game that takes players into the world of creating the best sushi menu. The game was designed by Phil Walker-Harding, known for simple yet strategically engaging games.
In the game, you are an ambitious sushi chef aiming to prepare the most delicious combination of dishes for your guests. During play, you collect different types of sushi—such as nigiri, tempura, sashimi, maki, and desserts—with the goal of building the most point-efficient combination.
It’s a “pick and pass” game, meaning:
- each player starts with a hand of cards,
- chooses one card and passes the rest along,
- then everyone reveals their chosen cards at the same time,
- this continues until all the cards have been used.
The game lasts three rounds, in which players collect sets of cards that score in different ways:
- Sashimi requires a set of three cards to score,
- Tempura needs a pair,
- Nigiri scores immediate points, even more when combined with Wasabi,
- Pudding is scored only at the end of the game—and can decide the winner!
