The City of Kings takes players into a dark fantasy world that once flourished until the evil Vesh arrived and plunged it into ruin. Only a single city remains, serving as the last refuge for all races. Players assume the roles of heroes who embark on a perilous journey to save the kingdom from total destruction. The theme combines epic fantasy, exploration, and survival, creating the feeling of taking part in an RPG adventure filled with monsters, quests, and meaningful strategic decisions.
The game features 7 stories and 12 scenarios, each with its own objectives and challenges. Players can choose from 6 different heroes, each equipped with 12 unique abilities and 90 points for customizing their statistics, allowing them to specialize in areas such as combat, healing, tanking, or worker management. As the adventure unfolds, players reveal world tiles that may contain resources, quests, dangers, merchants, or monsters. Combat is entirely dice-free, meaning that damage is permanent and success depends on tactical decisions rather than luck. Enemies are created using randomly generated abilities, resulting in more than 10 million possible combinations, ensuring that encounters remain varied and unpredictable. Workers play an important role by gathering resources such as food, wood, and stone, which are needed to construct buildings and purchase equipment.
