The Mandalorian: Adventures is a cooperative adventure board game for 1–4 players, based on the first season of the popular series The Mandalorian. Players take on the roles of characters such as Mando, IG-88, and other allies, working together to complete missions, fight enemies, and uncover the secrets of the galaxy.
The game takes place in the Star Wars universe, specifically within the story of The Mandalorian. Each mission is designed as a scene from the series, complete with illustrations, comic-style introductions, and maps for players to explore. The goal is to protect Grogu (Baby Yoda), defeat enemies, and reveal hidden threats. The unfolding story progresses through special cards and sealed envelopes, creating a campaign-like experience.
Players choose characters, each with a unique set of 12 cards.
Each player has 4 cards in hand and performs 2 actions on their turn:
- Moving across the map
- Attacking enemies
- Scouting to reveal hidden tokens
- Planning, which allows gaining additional cards
Cards have a value from 1 to 4, determining the strength of the action.
When the combined action value in a space reaches 5, an event is triggered (e.g., enemy reinforcements). If it exceeds 5, a crisis is triggered as well, which can lead to defeat.
The game includes a guiding deck that gradually introduces new rules, enemies, and mechanics. There are multiple modes of play: solo mode, shared characters, sandbox mode, and hidden traitor.
