The Peak Team is a cooperative adventure game in which players take on the roles of park rangers in a wildlife reserve. Your task is to care for the animals in the reserve, explore different regions of a mighty mountain area, and prevent potential threats. The main game board represents the nature reserve with a high mountain massif divided into multiple zones through which you move to observe animals, collect data, and complete missions.
The game is designed for 1–5 players who, as a team, must complete all missions before they run out of actions. Each player has two mission slots that fill during play — and if you don’t complete the missions in time, the team loses. An interesting feature is the reverse drafting system, where players don’t take cards for themselves but assign them to other players. This gives others the equipment needed to move around the mountain — such as routes, means of transport, or tools. This mechanism demands strategic foresight and cooperation. You traverse the mountain using various paths and transportation systems to reach observation points and animal areas. By successfully visiting locations, you complete personal and team missions and gain bonuses. If you manage to complete all missions before actions run out, the team wins.
The game includes multiple difficulty levels that gradually introduce new elements, such as weather effects or advanced mission types. This provides a challenge for both beginners and experienced players.
