The Resistance is an intense social deduction party game set in a dystopian future, where a group of brave rebels fights against a totalitarian Empire. However, spies are hidden among them, seeking to sabotage their missions from within. The game is designed for 5–10 players and typically lasts around 30 minutes.

The game takes place in a world where the Empire has seized power with an iron grip. The Rebels aim to overthrow its rule by successfully completing missions, but Imperial spies have infiltrated their ranks and work to undermine these efforts. Players do not know the identities of others—except for the spies, who know each other from the start. Tension increases with every mission as players attempt to expose the traitors while trying to build trust.

Players take on the roles of either Rebels or Spies. Before each mission, players vote on who should be sent on the mission. The selected players then secretly decide whether to support or sabotage the mission. Based on mission outcomes and player behavior, the group tries to determine who the spies are. All players remain active until the end of the game. The team that first successfully completes (or sabotages) three missions wins.
