The Siege of Runedar is a fantasy cooperative board game in which players take on the roles of brave dwarves, the defenders of the stronghold of Runedar. After accidentally discovering a new vein of pure gold in an abandoned mine, their fortress comes under siege by orcs, goblins, and trolls who desire the gold at any cost.

The players must navigate an almost hopeless situation: defending the fortress walls against increasingly fierce enemy attacks while simultaneously digging a secret tunnel that will allow them to escape to safety with their treasure. The theme strongly evokes classic fantasy fortress defenses and delivers a highly cinematic experience.

Players coordinate their roles, deciding who will defend the walls, who will gather resources, and who will dig the tunnel. A deck‑building system allows players to upgrade their starting cards (weapons, tools, armor) with improved abilities for combat or production. Resources (wood, metal, leather) are collected and used for repairing equipment, constructing buildings, and making upgrades. Enemies can be attacked at range from the ramparts, from towers, or in direct combat if they break into the interior of the fortress. Over time, the threat level steadily increases as enemy waves grow stronger, while stolen gold represents a permanent loss of resources.

The primary shared objective: to dig the entire tunnel and retain enough gold before the enemies overrun the fortress.
