Ticket to Ride Map Collection: Volume 2 – India & Switzerland is an expansion for Ticket to Ride and Ticket to Ride Europe. It includes a new double‑sided map of India and Switzerland, along with new gameplay mechanics.
India
On this map for 2–4 players, in addition to the usual points for building routes and completing destination tickets, players can earn points in two additional ways:
- The player with the longest continuous train route receives 10 bonus points.
- Players earn bonus points if they connect the cities on one or more destination tickets with two distinct routes. The first two such tickets grant 5 bonus points each, and the next three grant 10 bonus points each, for a total possible bonus of 40 points.
Switzerland
This scenario is a reprint of Ticket to Ride: Switzerland, first released in 2007. The map is designed for 2–3 players.
Some destination tickets do not connect only cities, but instead connect a city to a country, or even one country to any of the nations bordering Switzerland. A player who completes such a ticket receives the highest point value for which they qualify.
Unlike in most other Ticket to Ride games, discarded destination tickets are removed from the game instead of being returned to the deck. Additionally, locomotive cards can be used exclusively for building tunnels.
The expansion brings
new challenges and dynamics to the base Ticket to Ride experience. The
India map introduces additional strategic elements through special tasks, while
Switzerland requires more careful planning due to its tighter layout and unique connection rules.
