Time’s Up! Family Edition is a fun and dynamic party game based on the classic Time’s Up!, adapted for families with children aged 8 and up. It is designed for at least three players and takes about one hour to play.
The game revolves around guessing words written on cards. The words are tailored for family play — so no complicated or inappropriate terms. The game is full of humor and imagination, as players find themselves describing, acting out, or hinting at words in creative ways.
The game is played over three rounds:
Round 1
The player can describe the word using multiple clues but may not use the word on the card, sing, rhyme, or spell it out. The team guesses until they get it right or time runs out.
Round 2
The same set of cards is used again, but this time the player may give only one word as a clue. Sounds and gestures are allowed, and the team has only one chance to guess.
Round 3
The player may not speak at all — they must represent the word using pantomime only.
Players take turns as the “clue‑giver,” and teams compete to guess as many cards as possible.
Because the same cards are used in all three rounds, players learn, adapt, and refine their strategies as the game progresses. 🎉
