In the game, players embark on a three‑day journey through time, visiting significant historical events from 37,000 BCE to the end of the 20th century. Each card represents a historical moment, illustrated in the style of retro travel posters and accompanied by a short description of the event. The goal is to create the longest and most meaningful chronological sequences (so‑called treks) while collecting experiences and souvenirs that you then use to complete your personal itineraries.

The core mechanics include card drafting, time management (with hours as a currency), set collection, and sequence building. A player chooses one of the six cards displayed on the table. Each card has a time cost (1–5 hours), which the player spends on their time track. The player who is furthest behind on the time track takes the next turn, allowing for multiple consecutive turns. Cards can only be added in ascending chronological order; if a card doesn’t fit the sequence, a new trek begins. Each player has their own itinerary, completed by collecting specific symbols (events, innovations, progress, etc.). Completing these correctly awards points and time crystals. Time crystals reduce card costs and allow more actions. The game lasts for three rounds (days), each with a fresh set of historical cards. The winner is the player with the most points after all three days.

The game includes a solo mode and the Time Warp expansion.
