Unmatched: Brains and Brawn is a standalone expansion in the Unmatched series that puts the spotlight on three popular Marvel heroes: Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and She-Hulk. It is the fifth and final Marvel set in the Unmatched line, combining superhero action, tactical duels, and distinctly different playstyles. Each hero is designed to faithfully reflect their comic book abilities, ensuring that every battle feels unique.
The game's mechanics revolve around asymmetric combat, with each hero having a unique deck of cards and special abilities. Players move their characters across the game board, seek advantageous positions, and choose the right moments to attack or defend. Combat is resolved through card play rather than dice rolling, making anticipation of an opponent's moves, proper timing, and efficient hand management crucial to success. Spider-Man relies on his agility and spider-sense to avoid danger and surprise opponents. Doctor Strange uses powerful mystical effects and unusual card combinations to control the flow of battle. She-Hulk takes a more direct approach, constantly pressuring opponents with her incredible durability and powerful attacks. Because of these differences, each hero requires a distinct strategic mindset and approach.
The game will appeal to players who enjoy fast-paced tactical duels and superhero-themed battles.
Unmatched: Brains and Brawn offers an excellent combination of superhero action, tactical depth, and memorable showdowns between some of Marvel's most beloved heroes. 🕷️
