Werewords Deluxe combines classic word guessing with a theme of werewolves and hidden identities. The game takes place in a mysterious village where the villagers must discover the “magic word” before time runs out—but among them are werewolves trying to mislead them.
It is a party game with elements of social deduction and word guessing. Players try to uncover the secret word by asking questions that can be answered with yes/no. The game moderator (the mayor) responds only using markers (without speaking). Each player has a hidden role:
- villagers – want to guess the word
- werewolf – knows the word and deliberately misleads
- seer – knows the word and helps, but discreetly
The game is played in short rounds (about 10 minutes). If the word is not guessed, players can still win by identifying the werewolf. After the guessing phase, a discussion follows, and players vote on who the werewolf is.
A companion app determines the words, manages the game phases, and adds variety.
