WITS AND WAGERS – DELUXE EDITION is one of the most well-known “party” board games, combining trivia, guessing, and betting into a highly accessible and entertaining experience.
Players answer interesting questions (e.g., years, quantities, statistics). The key idea is not knowledge, but rather guessing and a sense of probability.
Each round begins with reading a question that has a numerical answer. All players (or teams) write down their estimate—it doesn’t need to be exact, just close. The answers are then arranged from smallest to largest on a special betting mat. Players place their bets on the answer they believe is closest to the correct one (not necessarily their own!). Each answer has specific odds (higher risk = higher reward). The winning answer is the one closest to the correct value without going over. Players receive chips based on their bets. The game usually lasts 7 rounds, and the player with the most points wins.
Wits and Wagers – Deluxe Edition is a fast-to-learn and highly social game in which intuition and bold betting matter more than knowledge 🎰
