Wonderland’s War is a thematically powerful strategic board game set in a darker, more chaotic interpretation of the world of Alice in Wonderland. Players take on the roles of iconic characters (Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, the Jabberwock, and the Cheshire Cat) and first gather at a bizarre tea party, where they appear to cooperate on the surface while secretly preparing for an inevitable war for dominance over the lands of Wonderland. This striking contrast between apparent social harmony and brutal conflict gives the game a distinctive character and a strong narrative experience.

Instead of using cards, players add tokens to their personal bag, representing units, allies, and special effects. During battles, these tokens are drawn at random, creating a tense sense of risk and surprise. Careful movement around the Mad Hatter’s table allows players to collect resources, upgrades, and strategic advantages before the war phase begins. In the war phase, players clash for control of regions on the map of Wonderland, requiring long-term planning and a keen sense for the right moment to strike. When drawing tokens, “madness” tokens may appear, adding an extra layer of drama.
