World Monuments, published by Queen Games, is a tactical building game for 2 to 4 players in which you compete as architects and builders, constructing famous world landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Notre Dame, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and more.
The game is built around the idea of constructing historical architectural masterpieces. Each session focuses on a single monument that players gradually assemble using colored blocks. The visual and thematic elements create a sense of both collaboration and competition as you work to build something magnificent.
The game is played in two main phases:
Quarry Phase
- Players take turns moving around a circular quarry board to collect colored blocks.
- Movement is limited by turn order, adding a tactical layer.
- Collected blocks are kept hidden behind each player’s screen.
Construction Phase
- Players take turns placing their collected blocks onto the monument board.
- Points are earned based on the height of the placed block and color matching.
- Strategic placement is important, as higher levels yield more points.
