The central theme of the set is the connection between “Borrel” Link monsters from Yu‑Gi‑Oh! VRAINS and the new “Rokket” monsters, which are based on the strategy used by the character Varis. The set also includes a continuation of the legendary series of “Forbidden” Quick-Play Spells, among which the new card Forbidden Crown stands out. When applied to a monster, it prevents that monster from attacking for the rest of the turn, negates its effects, stops it from being used as material for any type of Summon, and makes it indestructible. The Darklords also return, with new cards that enable stronger Summons and allow spells and traps to be reused from the Graveyard.
